This frozen twist on the classic cocktail is perfect for sipping in hot weather. The coffee liqueur provides sweetness—no extra added sugars needed. Freezing the coffee into ice cubes helps chill the drink without diluting the flavor.
- 1 ¼ cups brewed coffee or espresso, at room temperature
- 1 ½ ounces coffee liqueur
- 1 ½ ounces vodka
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 coffee beans for garnish
- Step 1
Pour coffee (or espresso) into an ice cube tray. Freeze until solid, about 4 hours.
Combine the coffee ice cubes, coffee liqueur, vodka and vanilla in a blender; process until smooth, about 1 minute. Divide between 2 chilled coupe martini glasses; garnish each with 3 coffee beans, if desired. Serve immediately.
